What is Ransomware?

Ransomware is malicious software (malware) that works by gaining access to your computers or devices, locking and encrypting the data stored on it so you can’t use it. A ransom is then demanded, usually in cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, to unlock the data.

It often happens when the unsuspecting user downloads malware through email attachments or links mistakenly downloaded by victims.

I’ll explain what Ransomware is, the techniques attackers use and how you can avoid being a victim.

Every business, regardless of its size, risks a ransomware attack. Contact Tommy to find out how we can help you secure your business.
